The Ridiculous Journey

Seven-Week Fall Study: The Ridiculous Journey

Join Pastor Chris for a seven-week study using content from The Work of the People (TWOTP) that explores “The Ridiculous Journey: Following a Nobody from Nowhere.” We will learn about a Middle Eastern homeless man from twenty centuries ago and why he still stirs the souls and imagination of so many. This 7-session series on Jesus’ invitation to follow him includes films by Nadia Bolz-Weber, Greg Boyle, Brené Brown, Emmanuel Katongole, Rachel Held Evans, Richard Rohr, and Rowan Williams, visual liturgies from Kelly Stewart Hall, Thomas Merton, Travis Reed, and Ann Voscamp and reflections by Rich Nelson.

We will watch videos, read short excerpts, and gather on Zoom to discuss our reflections. Please sign up for the group by Friday, September 17. You will receive a Zoom link along with the first week’s video link and reading on September 17.

The group will meet for seven weeks on Wednesdays starting September 22 from 7-8pm via Zoom. Looking forward to journeying with you this fall.
