Concert – Milo Morris: “My Father’s Voice”

A Concert of Healing and Reconciliation

This concert presented by Milo Morris draws from numerous genres including African folk songs, gospel and jazz. It is the music of the black man’s journey from Africa through slavery, into American cities and finally as an equal participant in America’s life. It is indeed the story of Mr. Morris’ family. It is through his music and narration that Mr. Morris hopes to bring deeper understanding and, thus, healing for our American family.

Mr. Morris has sung the bass solos of “Sing Messiah” for the past few years. He will be accompanied by Beverly Perella. A free-will offering will be received.
