We will be having a clothing drive for the Hope Rescue Mission. Last September, they opened a new center called The Lighthouse. This new building is designated specifically for women and children.
Young Adults Meet for Pizza and Parenting Conversation
“Honor your father and mother” is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, “so you will live well and have a long life.”
On Sunday, April 24, at 5:30pm, we’ll meet in Memorial Hall to view and discuss Dr. Kevin Leman’s video series, Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours: How to Bring out the Best in Your Kids By Doing What is Best for Them. Our topic for the evening will be Daring to Be a Courageous Parent. God knows these are challenging times for raising children. Together, we’ll look at the cornerstones of good parenting, biblical principles for acceptable behavior, and ways of fostering accountability for our children’s actions.
Dr. Kevin Leman is a Christian psychologist, author, and founder and president of Couples of Promise, an organization committed to helping couples remain happily married.
