2017 Calendar

Youth Sunday School for Grades 6–12

Every Sunday 10:10–10:50 AM in the Youth Room

We’ll look at the book of Romans, learning what the phrase, The Romans’ Road, means and how it applies to our spiritual lives and sharing our faith.

UM Youth Group for Grades 6–12

Every Sunday 6–8 PM in the Youth Room

Now that our room renovation is nearly complete, we’ll meet as usual on Sundays, 6-8 PM, for a series of talks about the questions: What do we want to be known for? and, What is our identity? Please join us! Bring friends!

Here are some upcoming special events:

This fundraiser is intended to offset the cost of our summer mission trip. The youth will sell the dinners in advance to family and friends, who will pick up their dinners at church. Dinners will include: half a chicken, two baked potatoes, two rolls (and possibly another side). Students will help prepare and package the meals for pick-up.

April 16, Easter Sunday: NO Youth Group

April 22: Service Project

April 30: Youth Group – Gnome-napping (5–7 PM)
The kids will be given an address and told to “kidnap” a lawn gnome from the lawn at the address. Sound crazy? That’s only the beginning. Let’s just say it involves a series of tasks the youth must do including photographs and getting youth and adults from Lincoln Park together. And that’s a positive thought.

May 20: Car Wash at the Flea Market (7 AM–3 PM)

June 9: School Year-End Party (4–6:30 pm)
Games and snacks. Bring your friends!

July (Tentatively) 9–14: Youth Mission Trip at the Philadelphia Project. Cost: $299

The Philadelphia Project aims to “involve youth in meeting people’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs. The ministry exists to meet the needs of our community (Through free home repair, preschool, and after-school childcare).”
